This Washington Post article makes some great points about the HECM for Purchase or H4P. When I mention this to Realtors and other professionals who deal with seniors I find that the huge majority are not even aware it exists. When I explain it to potential users of the program they are delighted that it exists! That tells us that professionals who deal with seniors should know about it. Become conversant to the point that you can turn it over to me and get that buyer to the table! Buyers don’t know about this either and they think they can’t afford or qualify for the home they really want. In many cases that’s not so and you can be their hero! See the good news here.
